Success in HSE Manslaughter case for Claire Davies QC leading Elizabeth Lambert
Claire Davies QC and Elizabeth Lambert were instructed to represent a client facing a count of gross negligence manslaughter following the death of a worker on a building site where he was the supervisor. Following cross-examination of prosecution witnesses including experts, and submissions to the prosecution, a plea to failing to discharge his duty was accepted and the count of manslaughter was not proceeded with. The case resulted in a suspended sentence.
