Martin McCarthy successfully contests drugs categorisation in a Newton Hearing
Martin appeared for the main Defendant in a contested Newton hearing and successfuly persuaded the court that the Crown's position on the categorisation of the offence was wrong. The court found in favour of the Defendant on the issue of volume of drugs dealt with and the role in the conspiracy.
