Martin McCarthy leading Ioana Nedelcu and Claire Davies leading Greg Krieger appear for the first and third Defendant in the largest modern slavery conspiracy in Europe. The case ran for over 4 months at Birmingham Crown Court and involved over 1 million pages of telephone downloads and banking evidence. Reporting restrictions were lifted on 5th of July 2019 and the case received extensive national and international press interest (BBC Report).
