Ioana Nedelcu secures unanimous acquittal in supply of cocaine case
Ioana secured the unanimous acquittal in a case alleging the supply of cocaine in just over one hour.
The Defendant was arrested after an exchange of over 70 baby cannabis plants with a key to a flat in his pocket. The flat was later searched and the police recovered over 100 more cannabis plants, a significant quantity of cocaine and paraphernalia indicating the supply of class A drugs. The Defendant previously entered a guilty plea on a basis to producing cannabis in the flat and he was further convicted of producing 23 plants at another flat. He also had relevant previous convictions. Earlier in this case, the judge directed the jury to acquit the Defendant on another charge of possession of a CS gas cannister.
The case involved over 10,000 pages of telephone evidence including cell site evidence contact between the Defendant and other relevant parties.
