Elizabeth Lambert successfully advances novel mitigation and secures a community order in causing death by careless driving case
Elizabeth represented a London bus driver who pleaded guilty to the of causing death by careless driving. He struck an 88 year old pensioner who was crossing the Walworth Road. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 140 hrs community service. Elizabeth advanced a novel “special reasons” argument in the course of mitigation.
