Claire Davies KC leading Ioana Nedelcu achieve unanimous Not Guilty verdicts for a Defendant charged with conspiracy to murder, murder and conspiracy to possess firearm with intent to endanger life at the Old Bailey.
Claire Davies KC and Ioana Nedelcu secured Not Guilty verdicts on all charges in a gang related murder. The Defendant was tried at the Old Bailey. The allegations resulted out of rivalries between two prominent gangs in East London.
The Defendant accepted presence at all meetings said by the Prosecution to be events when the murder was planned, including presence at a meeting with the murder car, post the shooting, as well as getting rid of two vehicles involved in the murder and a previous linked incident.
The Defendant was originally tried together with others over a three month period and the jury was unable to reach verdicts in respect of this Defendant alone, convicting the other defendants.
He was subsequently acquitted of all charges at the re-trial in September and October 2024.
